خوب رو جو ایک کا محبوب نہیں

ایسے ہرجائی سے ملنا خوب نہیں

چولی نیچی مت پہن اے جامہ زیب

اس میں چھب تختی کا کچھ اسلوب نہیں

میں تو طالب دل سے ہوں گا دین کا

دولت دنیا مجھے مطلوب نہیں

صبر کب تک ہجر میں تیرے کروں

میں ترا عاشق ہوں کوئی ایوب نہیں

یار کی تاباںؔ زنخداں کو نہ چاہ

دیکھ کہتا ہوں کنویں میں ڈوب نہیں
