میری چپ کا جو مطلب ہے

اوب چکا ہے یہ ہر شے سے

دل کی حالت غور طلب ہے

زیست یہ کیا ہے کچھ بھی نہیں بس

ڈور نفس پر اک کرتب ہے

عشق قفس میں قید پرندہ

ہو کے رہا بھی اڑتا کب ہے

ان آنکھوں کی نظر اتارو

ان میں قید پیا کی چھب ہے

ub chuka hai ye har shai se
dil ki haalat ghaur-talab hai

zist ye kya hai kuchh bhi nahin bas
