چاند دھیرے سے مسکرایا ہے

چاند کو کون یاد آیا ہے

خواب میں بھی نظر نہیں آیا

رات جس نے مجھے جگایا ہے

ہم نہیں آئے تو گلا کیسا

آپ نے کب ہمیں بلایا ہے

جو لکھا ہی نہیں گیا مجھ سے

دل نے وہ گیت گنگنایا ہے

تو نے مجھ کو بنا دیا انسان

میں نے تجھ کو خدا بنایا ہے

تم سے مل کر میں اس کو بھول گیا

جس نے تم سے مجھے ملایا ہے

ٹھیر کر دیکھ تو ذرا مومنؔ

میں نہیں ہوں یہ تیرا سایہ ہے
