اس نے توڑا جہاں کوئی پیماں

مرحلے اور ہو گئے آساں

میر ہے کوئی کوئی ہے سلطاں

سوچتا ہوں کہاں گیا انساں

آندھیوں میں جلا رہے تھے چراغ

ہائے وہ لوگ بے سر و ساماں

فلسفی فلسفوں میں ڈوب گئے

آدمی کا لہو رہا ارزاں

ابر بن کر برس ہی جائے گا

کھیت سے جب اٹھا غم دہقاں

شعلۂ گل ہے زخم دل کی طرح

یہ چمن میں بہار ہے کہ خزاں

سینۂ سنگ میں بھی پھول کھلے

غم جہاں بھی ہوا غم پنہاں

دل کی آزردگی نہ پوچھ ظفرؔ

بات میرے لیے ہے سنگ گراں
