میرے ہونے نہ ہونے میں نہ تھا کچھ بھی مگر پھر بھی

میرے ہونے نہ ہونے میں نہ تھا کچھ بھی مگر پھر بھی

نہ جانے کیوں ہوا تخلیق بے قیمت بشر پھر بھی

ہوا کی پشت پہ تاروں بھری وسعت میں ہو آیا

مگر اک قلب کی گہرائیوں سے بے خبر پھر بھی

دھماکوں کی صدا سے گونجتی ہے یہ زمیں ہر پل

قلم کی نیم بسمل آہ شب ہے بے اثر پھر بھی

اگرچہ خاک مستقبل کا ہر امکان رکھتی ہے

چراغوں کے مقدر میں نہیں ہوتی سحر پھر بھی

ہماری دوستی کا بج رہا ہے شہر میں ڈنکا

مرا دل آبلہ پھر بھی تری ضد نیشتر پھر بھی

mere hone na hone mein na tha kuchh bhi magar phir bhi
na jaane kyon hua taKHliq be-qimat bashar phir bhi

hawa ki pusht pe taron bhari wusat mein ho aaya
magar ek qalb ki gahraiyon se be-KHabar phir bhi

dhamakon ki sada se gunjti hai ye zamin har pal
qalam ki nim-bismil aah-e-shab hai be-asar phir bhi

agarche KHak mustaqbil ka har imkan rakhti hai
charaghon ke muqaddar mein nahin hoti sahar phir bhi

hamari dosti ka baj raha hai shahr mein Danka
mera dil aabla phir bhi teri zid neshtar phir bhi
