غم و نشاط کی ہر رہ گزر میں تنہا ہوں

مجھے خبر ہے میں اپنے سفر میں تنہا ہوں

مجھی پہ سنگ ملامت کی بارشیں ہوں گی

کہ اس دیار میں شوریدہ سر میں تنہا ہوں

ترے خیال کے جگنو بھی ساتھ چھوڑ گئے

اداس رات کے سونے کھنڈر میں تنہا ہوں

گراں نہیں ہے کسی پر یہ رات میرے سوا

کہ مبتلا میں امید سحر میں تنہا ہوں

نہ چھوڑ ساتھ مرا ان اکیلی راہوں میں

دل خراب ترا ہم سفر میں تنہا ہوں

وہ بے نیاز کہ دیکھی ہو جیسے اک دنیا

مجھے یہ ناز میں اس کی نظر میں تنہا ہوں

مجھی سے کیوں ہے خفا میرا آئینہ مخمورؔ

اس اندھے شہر میں کیا خود نگر میں تنہا ہوں
