جہاں پانی نہیں ہوتا وہاں مسکن نہیں ہوتے

جہاں پانی نہیں ہوتا وہاں مسکن نہیں ہوتے
جہاں انساں نہیں بستے وہاں مدفن نہیں ہوتے
بہت باتیں نہیں کرتا تو مجھ پہ شک نہیں کرنا
ہر اک خاموش بندے سے یونہی بدظن نہیں ہوتے
کبھی شہروں سے باہر جا، نظر میں رکھ مکانوں کو
گھروندے اب بھی ایسے ہیں جہاں آنگن نہیں ہوتے
میں اکثر سوچ کر احمد ،ڈرا رہتا ہوں بارش سے
کہ دروازے کجا جن کے لگے چلمن نہیں ہوتے
