چمکتے لفظ ستاروں سے چھین لائے ہیں

ہم آسماں سے غزل کی زمین لائے ہیں

وہ اور ہوں گے جو خنجر چھپا کے لاتے ہیں

ہم اپنے ساتھ پھٹی آستین لائے ہیں

ہماری بات کی گہرائی خاک سمجھیں گے

جو پربتوں کے لیے خوردبین لائے ہیں

ہنسو نہ ہم پہ کہ ہر بد نصیب بنجارے

سروں پہ رکھ کے وطن کی زمین لائے ہیں

مرے قبیلے کے بچوں کے کھیل بھی ہیں عجیب

کسی سپاہی کی تلوار چھین لائے ہیں
