اپنے سائے کو بھی اسیر بنا

بہتے پانی پہ اک لکیر بنا

صرف خیرات حرف و صوت کی دے

شہر فن کا مجھے امیر بنا

شوخ تتلی ہے گر ہدف پہ ترے

گل کے ریشوں سے ایک تیر بنا

مجھ کو کشکول کے بغیر ہی دے

اک گداگر نہیں فقیر بنا

ریت پر راہ ڈھونڈ مت صابرؔ

آ فلک پر نئی لکیر بنا

sirf KHairaat harf-o-saut ki de
shahr-e-fan ka mujhe amir bana

shoKH titli hai gar hadaf pe tere
gul ke reshon se ek tir bana

mujh ko kashkol ke baghair hi de
ek gadagar nahin faqir bana
