ملے جو لوگ وہ اپنے نشے میں مست ملے

کہیں خود اپنی درستی کا دکھ نہیں دیکھا

بہت جہاں کی درستی کے بندوبست ملے

کہیں تو خاک نشیں کچھ بلند بھی ہوں گے

ہزاروں اپنی بلندی میں کتنے پست ملے

یہ سہل فتح تو پھیکی سی لگ رہی ہے مجھے

کسی عظیم مہم میں کبھی شکست ملے

یہ شاخ گل کی لچک بھی پیام رکھتی ہے

بسان تیغ تھے جو ہم کو حق پرست ملے

سنا ہے چند تہی دامنوں میں ظرف تو تھا

سرورؔ ہم کو تونگر بھی تنگ دست ملے
