وہ وفور لالہ و گل نہیں وہ نشاط قلب و نظر نہیں

جو ارم بکف تھی دم سحر وہ بہار شاخ و شجر نہیں

یہ زمانہ فرصت غم اگر مجھے دے تو میں بھی دکھا سکوں

کہ تجلیاں مرے شوق کی فقط ایک رقص شرر نہیں

تری یاد باعث راحت تپش خیال تو ہے مگر

میں ہجوم شوق کو کیا کروں مرے بس میں دیدۂ تر نہیں

یہ رضائے یار کا پاس ہے کہ یہ سازشیں ہیں حواس کی

مرے دل میں سوز فغاں تو ہے مرے لب پہ آہ سحر نہیں

مرا شوق آبلہ پا سہی مری راہ راہ فنا سہی

جو ترا خیال ہو راہ بر تو اندھیری رات کا ڈر نہیں

تو کمال شوق سے ساز اٹھا مری جان تاروں کے گیت گا

تری بزم گاہ طرب میں اب کسی دل جلے کا گزر نہیں

jo iram-ba-kaf thi dam-e-sahar wo bahaar-e-shaKH-o-shajar nahin

ye zamana fursat-e-gham agar mujhe de to main bhi dikha sakun
ki tajalliyan mere shauq ki faqat ek raqs-e-sharar nahin

teri yaad bais-e-rahat-e-tapish-e-KHayal to hai magar
main hujum-e-shauq ko kya karun mere bas mein dida-e-tar nahin

ye raza-e-yar ka pas hai ki ye sazishen hain hawas ki
mere dil mein soz-e-fughan to hai mere lab pe aah-e-sahar nahin

mera shauq aabla-pa sahi meri rah rah-e-fana sahi
jo tera KHayal ho rahbar to andheri raat ka Dar nahin

tu kamal-e-shauq se saz uTha meri jaan taron ke git ga
teri bazm-gah-e-tarab mein ab kisi dil-jale ka guzar nahin
