کون سی شاخ کا پتہ تھا ہرا بھول گیا

پیڑ سے ٹوٹ کے میں اپنا پتہ بھول گیا

میں کوئی وعدہ فراموش نہیں ہوں پھر بھی

مجھ پہ الزام ہے میں اپنا کہا بھول گیا

اپنے بچوں کے کھلونے تو اسے یاد رہے

گھر میں بیمار پڑی ماں کی دوا بھول گیا

کر تو دیں میں نے چراغوں کی قطاریں روشن

ہے زمانے کی مگر تیز ہوا بھول گیا

خوف دوزخ سے ڈراتا رہا واعظ مجھ کو

اور خود اپنے گناہوں کہ سزا بھول گیا

تجھ سے کچھ کام تھا لیکن ترے گھر کے آگے

اب کھڑا سوچ رہا ہوں کی میں کیا بھول گیا

بے خودی حد سے جو گزری تو میں اک روز نفسؔ

گھر سے کیا نکلا کہ پھر گھر پتہ کا بھول گیا
