پُکارتا بھی رہُوں تو قرِیب آنا مت
مَیں دِل کا چور ہُوں سو مُنہ مُجھے لگانا مت
تُو اپنے حِصّے کی خُوشیاں اُٹھا کے چلتا بن
جو میرے غم ہیں اُنہیں ہاتھ بھی لگانا مت
مَیں جان لے نہِیں سکتا ہُوں دے تو سکتا ہُوں
مِری وفا کو مِرے دوست آزمانا مت
بجا کہ راہ میں آئیں گے پیچ و خم بھی بہُت
چلے جو ساتھ تو رستے میں چھوڑ جانا مت
خُدا نے تُجھ کو دیا ہے مُعاشی اِستحکام
سنبھل کے رہنا کِسی طور ڈگمگانا مت
یہاں پہ کوئی کِسی کا نہِیں ہے دھیان رہے
کِسی کی آئی کو اپنے گلے لگانا مت
نتِیجہ اِس کا بُرا ہی رشِیدؔ دیکھا ہے
کِسی کی حالتِ خستہ پہ مُسکرانا مت
