سرد موجوں کا عجب شور مچائے جانا

دل کے سوئے ہوئے جذبات جگائے جانا

ایک مدّت سے نہیں ڈھونڈ سکا کوئی مکیں

ہر مسافر نے مرے دل کو سرائے جانا

چاہ کر بھی نہ چھپی تجھ سے کبھی کوئی بات

دیکھ کر تجھ کو مرا آنکھ گھمائے جانا

کتنا آساں ہے مشینوں سے حکومت کرنا

ایک انگلی سے زمانے کو نچائے جانا

مجھ زبوں حال کے ہونٹوں پہ ہنسی یوں ہے عبید

جیسے بوسیدہ عمارت کا سجائے جانا
