دن بھر غموں کی دھوپ میں چلنا پڑا مجھے

راتوں کو شمع بن کے پگھلنا پڑا مجھے

ٹھہری ہی تھی نگاہ کہ منظر بدل گیا

رکنا پڑا مجھے کبھی چلنا پڑا مجھے

ہر ہر قدم پہ جاننے والوں کی بھیڑ تھی

ہر ہر قدم پہ بھیس بدلنا پڑا مجھے

رنگوں کے انتخاب سے اکتا کے ایک دن

رنگوں کے دائرے سے نکلنا پڑا مجھے

دنیا کی خواہشوں نے مری راہ روک لی

دنیا کی خواہشوں کو کچلنا پڑا مجھے

بارش کچھ اتنی تیز ہوئی اب کے طنز کی

گر گر کے بار بار سنبھلنا پڑا مجھے

ہر آشنا نگاہ یہاں اجنبی لگی

مجبور ہو کے گھر سے نکلنا پڑا مجھے
