چھتری لگا کے گھر سے نکلنے لگے ہیں ہم

اب کتنی احتیاط سے چلنے لگے ہیں ہم

اس درجہ ہوشیار تو پہلے کبھی نہ تھے

اب کیوں قدم قدم پہ سنبھلنے لگے ہیں ہم

ہو جاتے ہیں اداس کہ جب دوپہر کے بعد

سورج پکارتا ہے کہ ڈھلنے لگے ہیں ہم

ایسا نہیں کہ برف کی مانند ہوں مگر

لگتا ہے یوں کہ جیسے پگھلنے لگے ہیں ہم

آئینہ دیکھنے کی ضرورت نہ تھی کوئی

خود جانتے تھے ہم کہ بدلنے لگے ہیں ہم

اس کا یقین آج بھلا کس کو آئے گا

اک دھیمی دھیمی آنچ میں جلنے لگے ہیں ہم

سچ پوچھئے تو اس کی ہمیں خود خبر نہیں

موسم بدل گیا کہ بدلنے لگے ہیں ہم
