NA-244 National Assembly Karachi East-lll - Results in 2008 General Election

In 2008 General National Assembly Election, Shaikh Salahuddin from Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan was elected as Member National Assembly MNA, and got 174044 votes, the second runner up was Ghulam Qadir from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians who got 9271 votes. 4 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 290891 voters registered in NA-244, out of which 187074 votes were polled out, 185581 votes were valid and 1492 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 64.31 % for NA-244 constituency of National Assembly.
