NA-172 National Assembly Bahawalpur-lll - Results in 2008 General Election

In 2008 General National Assembly Election, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Laghari from Pakistan Muslim League was elected as Member National Assembly MNA, and got 61918 votes, the second runner up was Dr Hafiz Abdul Karim from Pakistan Muslim League (N) who got 40460 votes. 18 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 397159 voters registered in NA-172, out of which 123214 votes were polled out, 120002 votes were valid and 3212 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 31.02 % for NA-172 constituency of National Assembly.
