PP-218 Punjab Assembly Multan-VIII - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Muhammad Jamil Shah from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 38710 votes, the second runner up was Nawabzada Abdul Razzaq Khan Niazi from Pakistan Muslim League who got 32043 votes. 9 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 128042 voters registered in PP-218, out of which 79928 votes were polled out, 77801 votes were valid and 2162 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 62.42 % for PP-218 constituency of Punjab.
