PP-97 Punjab Assembly Faisalabad-I - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Mian Ghulam Sarwar from Pakistan Muslim League (N) was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 37825 votes, the second runner up was Ch. Muhammad Nasir Cheema from Pakistan Muslim League who got 20515 votes. 8 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 187186 voters registered in PP-97, out of which 76257 votes were polled out, 73768 votes were valid and 2489 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 40.73 % for PP-97 constituency of Punjab.
