PP-291 Punjab Assembly Dera Ghazi Khan-VII - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Makhdoom Muhammad Irtaza from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 30108 votes, the second runner up was Makhdoom Musharraf Hussain from Pakistan Muslim League who got 19101 votes. 5 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 164508 voters registered in PP-291, out of which 66765 votes were polled out, 64672 votes were valid and 2096 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 40.50 % for PP-291 constituency of Punjab.
