Results of PP-240 Bahawalnagar-IV Bye-Election held on 18 August 2016

The Bye-Election was held on 18th August 2016 in Provincial Punjab Assembly constituency PP-240 Bahawalnagar-IV. Mumtaz Ahmed Qaiserani from Pakistan Muslim League (n) got 30742 votes and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA). The first runner up was Khawaja Muhammad Dawood Sulemani from Independent who got 20839 votes. Total 16 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 150410 voters registered in PP-240, out of which 60362 votes were polled out, 58951 votes were valid and 1411 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 40.13 % for PP-240 constituency of National Assembly.
