NA-231 National Assembly Sujawal - Results in 2008 General Election

In 2008 General National Assembly Election, Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member National Assembly MNA, and got 138320 votes, the second runner up was Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah from Sindh United Party who got 33361 votes. 11 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 492758 voters registered in NA-231, out of which 186259 votes were polled out, 181157 votes were valid and 5114 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 37.79 % for NA-231 constituency of National Assembly.
