PP-236 Punjab Assembly Vehari-VIII - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry from Pakistan Muslim League was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 30686 votes, the second runner up was Nafeesa Rasheed from Independent who got 28933 votes. 9 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 169283 voters registered in PP-236, out of which 80201 votes were polled out, 78279 votes were valid and 1943 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 47.00 % for PP-236 constituency of Punjab.
