Results of NA-48 North Waziristan Agency Tribal Area-lX Bye-Election held on 22 August 2013

The Bye-Election was held on 22nd August 2013 in National Assembly constituency NA-48 North Waziristan Agency Tribal Area-lX. Asad Umar from Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf got 48073 votes and was elected as Member National Assembly (MNA). The first runner up was Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf Gujjar from Pakistan Muslim League (n) who got 41186 votes. Total 22 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 293525 voters registered in NA-48, out of which 94257 votes were polled out, 94249 votes were valid and 8 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 32.11 % for NA-48 constituency of National Assembly.
