PP-135 Punjab Assembly Sheikhupura-I - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Samina Wasim Butt from Pakistan Muslim League (N) was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 42787 votes, the second runner up was Khizar Ilyas Virk from Pakistan Muslim League who got 19129 votes. 5 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 132052 voters registered in PP-135, out of which 69456 votes were polled out, 69170 votes were valid and 287 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 52.59 % for PP-135 constituency of Punjab.
