PP-289 Punjab Assembly Dera Ghazi Khan-V - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Advocate from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 33332 votes, the second runner up was Shahid Habib from Pakistan Muslim League who got 16808 votes. 9 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 157198 voters registered in PP-289, out of which 64208 votes were polled out, 62209 votes were valid and 1999 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 41 % for PP-289 constituency of Punjab.
